I used to post cricket highlights into here, from official sources, to keep a record of them all in one place. I’ve not maintained any consistency there, usually because of other priorities, but it provides a non-stupid place to watch highlights, where you might leave a comment (or ideally just watch the cricket) so I’ve done that again for the ODI series England is playing over in India.
Here are the highlights of the first ODI from India, from TNT, the official rights holder. This is embedded from their YouTube channel:
One benefit of watching an embedded video is the ads are less aggressive (this website doesn’t have any ads) and the other benefit is you don’t have all the other YouTube stuff around the place, like comments, or other videos featuring massive pictures of people pulling funny faces trying to get you to click on them.
Stick to cricket, gang!
I used to also write up the match… but in this case, England just got pretty royally thumped despite starting well. It all unravelled after a bit of a silly runout, and a great catch from Jaiswal.
Advantage India, in this three match series, but England showed if they can get their batting together, they have some weapons to cause a little damage in this format.
Joe Root is back – great – but Harry Brook failed to make a mark this time. Livingstone also put in a below par effort. More needed next time from England’s power hitters.
If there is a positive, after the T20 loss, it is that as then, Jos Buttler, looks to be in decent nick. That can only be good, as he’s always been a real talent in whiteball.
